At Drawbotics we strongly believe in the power of open-source software, so we’re really happy to present our first open-source project, Entman, a library to manage entities in a Redux store.
Why build something like this?
Redux projects have always been blamed for having a lot of boilerplate and most of the time, this is true. But this is part of the reason why we like Redux, it makes things explicit so one quick look at the source code reveals a lot of information. But sometimes, all this boilerplate gets in your way, for instance, when you’re repeating the same operation in multiple places. In those cases, instead of adding clarity, the noise doesn’t allow you to easily get the big picture, you have to keep all those different pieces in sync, etc.
